Bridging the Gap (9th) By University School of Nashville: For 9th Grade Families Join James Wellborn, PhD to discuss ways to support your 9th grader as they navigate their first year of high school.
Adolescence is a time when kids make big leaps in social, emotional, cognitive and moral development (not to mention risky behavior). This can leave parents scrambling just to keep up, let alone provide the necessary guidance and direction. Dr. Wellborn will join us to help parents and guardians of ninth graders get ahead of their teens by reviewing important aspects of adolescent development and behavior. He will also provide a framework for adults that encourages both independence and responsibility while they shepherd their kids through the teenage years.
